Snow Daze
Another major snowstorm slammed into New York—this time dumping of more than a foot of the white stuff over much of the region. This is the Fifth major storm to hit the Northeast USA since the post-Christmas Blizzard !!
Central Park received 19 inches!!! So far for the month of January, New York snow totals have reached 36 inches!!! A record.
And now, some History. New York City now has recorded its highest January snowfall totals since formal weather records in 1868. The state of Connecticut, no stranger to winter weather, equally has reached a record for January snowfall totals too.
While much of the USA is getting a taste of a brutal Winter, Europe has had more than its share of snowfall and cold too.
